to Staffing Analysis
Friday, October 12
10 - 11 a.m.
This is a free webinar;
Do you know how to tell if your staffing plan is soundly designed?
Could you use some practical steps on how to calculate staffing needs
and improve the efficiency of your staffing operations? Do you
know the difference between "good" overtime and "bad" overtime?
This webinar provides a practical introduction for local government
service providers who make staffing-related budget decisions and manage
staffing resources for core government services. We will discuss a
variety of ways to address staffing issues, including functions or
positions that must be staffed continuously for one or multiple shifts.
Some examples common to local government include:
Police or Sheriff patrol operations
Prisons and jails (housing unit supervision, booking, control, etc.)
911 call receivers and dispatchers
Service desks (permitting, customer service, etc.)
This webinar is open to all local governments. Participants who may
benefit from this webinar include: budget and fiscal managers and
analysts; department heads and analysts responsible for staffing plans;
evaluators and auditors; legislative staff that provides oversight of
department budgets; and officials interested in learning more about how
staffing for core government services is managed.
