Counties are eligible for USDOT grants up to $50,000 for technical assistance in the form of engineering or other scientific analysis of pipeline safety issues and to help promote public participation in official proceedings. Applications are due March 9.     More information

Bill moving to compensate counties for encumbered state forest land

Legislation would allow Southwest Washington counties to exchange land they are unable to harvest due to the Endangered Species Act with available state forest land, in order to predict revenue. Read Kent Reporter article
